Studio Production, Video editing and Screen Writing courses give students the skills and knowledge they need to produce professional videos and films. The SRJC offers hands-on experience with a range of professional industry-standard equipment and an on-site, fully-equipped TV studio. The annual SRJC Short Film Festival showcases their work and offers a forum for networking with peers and professionals. Events hosted by The Petaluma Film Alliance give them an opportunity to meet and ask questions of successful industry professionals.
Below are some examples of the wide range of topics and creative endeavors students have produced. A full library of student films can be seen on the SRJC Digital Filmmaking channel on YouTube.com.
The student short 'Homeless on the Joe Rodota Trail" was featured by local PBS affiliate, KQED in their reporting on the issue.
